"Awful room which was unsafe to stay in! Unacceptable"

Please don’t book a room at this hotel! The room I was given was in a horrible state — I couldn’t believe my eyes. I paid £11 per night, but it was completely unsafe to stay there, so I decided to leave and requested a refund. The front desk informed me that I would need to contact Booking.com for the refund, which I did. It’s now been over 20 days since I submitted my complaint along with photos. I was told that Booking.com can’t issue a refund because the hotel management hasn’t responded. Frankly, I doubt they ever will. This situation is completely unacceptable, as none of it was my fault. The room was in terrible condition — damp, musty, and looked like it was falling apart. There was an awful smell, everything was dirty and stained, and the bed sheets were wet and smelly. I will be escalating the issue and attempting to get a refund through my bank. This experience was totally unacceptable. Unfortunately I was able to add only 4 photos
