Casa D'or Dahab

Absolutely fantastic! Thomas and the team make this lovely place a home away from home. The rooms are very spacious and well kept, pool area is inviting and comfortable. The hospitality, caring and big heart of Thomas making Casa D'or a place to return to.

We stayed at Casa d’Or for 3 nights including New Years’ Eve and had an overall positive experience. The owner and host, Thomas, is extremely friendly – he makes his guests feel like they are being welcomed into his home. He served us fresh orange juice on arrival, cooked up dinner and shared many drinks with us on New Years’ Eve, helped us schedule transportation from the hotel, and was able to collect our laundry when we were away from the property. That said, the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. It is seemingly a passion project built by the owner and is run more like a guesthouse than a hotel. For instance, the design is unique and incohesive, though it may appeal to others. There is no formal reception, we just interacted with Thomas via Whatsapp prior to arrival. The hotel is tucked away from the main strip of Dahab and there is no road leading to the property, which made it confusing for our taxi driver to find. Because it is situated a ways from the main road, there isn’t much of a view from the hotel, just desert and construction sites. Finally, we had some issues with the room itself such as dusty floors on arrival and no hot water for 3 days. Overall, the host made our stay very enjoyable by making the experience personal instead of purely transactional but without Thomas, I don’t think we would recommend the place.

We loooved staying at Casa d’Or. I mean, you truly feel like you are in a fairytale, the house is just sooooo magical! As well as the rooms, they are super spacious and beautiful. Also, the team working there is so truly welcoming, especially the amazing Dina!! These guys will make sure your stay will be amazing, that’s for sure. They truly put their heart into their work snd business and you can really feel it. The breakfast was really lovely and generous, and the diving program they helped us signing up for was really good! I can’t wait to come back. Dahab is such a special place and staying at Casa d’Or will make it even more special!! Thank you again for the wonderful hospitality and this amazing hotel that you have built up!

I recently stayed at Casa D’OR for just over 10 days. I must say that this is one of the best boutique hotel experiences I’ve had hands-down. The owner was absolutely incredible. I felt like I was staying at a A world famous Hotel. Every single thing that we wanted was organized and there was just nothing that the Casa D’OR team would not do for us. I loved the bedrooms they were spacious and modern. Exterior was great too, we spent many days by the swimming pool bathing in the warm Egyptian sun. The breakfast was crazy. Every morning the owner and his team would rustle up a delicious homemade breakfast. When it comes to diving this is the spot. Thomas (the owner) took us out two to three times a day, held our hands all the way. I don’t think you could ever have a better dive master than Thomas. We felt so safe deep under and had the best time of our life. I am now proud to say I have my Open Water license. It’s just crazy out there. You stick your head under the water with a mask and it feels like you’ve suddenly arrived in paradise. So to conclude an excellent hotel with superb service and one of the best hosts I’ve experienced. Diving I believe speaks for itself in Dahab!

I have stayed in Casa D’or Dahab from 8th of October 2020 till 10th of October. It was my first trip to Dahab, and I was very lucky to find such a nice and comfortable hotel, it was a holiday period most of the hotel was fully booked. From the minute I arrived, I felt so welcomed, the hotel has a unique style that made me feel in my own home. Room are very clean, very good shower free WiFi, smart TV and view of the pool and the mountains. The hotel team are very helpful and they can get you anything that you want. The hotel is very well located, just few minutes walking and you are in the heart of Dahab. This is certainly a hotel to try and it became my best hotel in Dahab.
