Hotel Penta Lux

Excellent hotel. Exceptionally clean comfortable rooms. Staff can’t do enough for you, pleasant, polite and helpful. Lovely gardens, good breakfast. Highly recommend. I will definitely come back and stay here. Thank you for a great stay

This is a good place for a little getaway. The receptionists and the other co-workers are really nice. The breakfast buffet was satisfying and delicious. The Hotel provides a little spa area as well. The rooms are clean.

We were made very welcome from the start. The room was clean and comfortable. We took the opportunity to use their spa bath and pool. Local restaurants within close walking distance. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a lovely stay. Nora was warm and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful from the outside and you can tell immediately that it was well maintained. Our room was large and included a stand for our luggage and two sitting chairs with a table. An unusual item was a valet stand for our coats. There was a small TV and a TV stand that included a small refrigerator. The entry area to the room is tiled and the area with the bed is carpeted. The room was also nicely painted with a lovely orange contrast wall. We had a lovely balcony (accessible through a French door) complete with a table and chairs for sitting out in good weather. Unfortunately it rained when we were there. The bathroom had a shower only but was very clean and tidy. The water was very hot too. Ice cubes are available at the front desk. The WIFI was nice and strong and there were outlets where we needed them. The room also had a wall A/C unit; although, we didn’t use it. There is no elevator but we received help with our large suitcase. Breakfast was extra special and they offered everything we wanted or needed. They had Hungarian style scrambled eggs (with paprika, tomato and onion), hard boiled eggs, little sausages, pates, vegetables, yogurt, multiple bread choices, three juice choices and delicious coffee. They offered to prepare espresso if I wanted it. Breakfast was very enjoyable and the dining room was comfortable and nicely decorated. We didn’t take advantage of it but you can get a massage for only HUF 4,000 per hour or HUF 2,500 for a half hour. A remarkable deal. They also have a sauna that they will warm up for your use. Our stay was made very special by the hospitality Nora showed us. She changed currency for us, helped us print some train tickets and called a taxi for us. Our visit to Tata was perfect because of Nora’s attention and care. I highly recommend this hotel.

I have stayed for a longer period of time and a few drive trough's at this Panzio. Every time the service was excellent, the rooms are sizable and everything is very clean. The breakfast is a blast, the pool / hot tub / sauna area is great - in the summer they open to a front terrace with lounge chairs. Friendly people, they make you feel like family.

I think I was the only guest during my short stay in December 2013. If you are looking for a decent stay over in this part of Hungary, than this family run pension is the right choice. The room was clean, wifi functional, breakfast good, rate modest.

Great place to stay. Like others, I found small things like hard beds and some minor maintenance issues, but breakfast is good, the staff extremely helpful, and the surroundings quite lovely. Sauna, small indoor pool and hot tub add to the amenities. The lake (200m away) in Tata is a real gem and this is a great festival town with excellent restaurants that are reasonable. One of those somewhat out of the way 'finds' for a great vacation in this part of Europe.

Good place to stay. We were in an adjacent building. The room is very nice, It has a kitchenette. The beds are terrible, hard and short. I slept like a monk...I am 1.81 m tall. Breakfast was good and service was really outstanding. The young lady at the reception was extremely helpful and her english was quite good, considering we never found anyone else around who spoke any english. The hotel is very close to a beautiful lake and we were lucky to coincide with a celebration taking place by the lake (we never knew about what...) but the beer and food were just delicious. Would we go back? If I ever had to go to Tatabanya again, no doubt I would stay at the Penta lux hotel.
