Vaea Hotel Apia

Beautiful place. Lovely breakfast and very friendly, polite hosts. The room and balcony were beautiful, overlooking the garden/pool and the hillside beyond. Good WiFi too. Very walkable into town with multiple restaurants enroute.

Nothing - everything was great.

A small cozy family-run hotel close enough to town, yet quiet. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. My room was clean and spacious enough. WiFi worked ok (30 GB included in the room rate). Complimentary breakfast was appreciated.

No actual complaints, but the bathroom was a bit dated and the swimming pool is tiny.

Very close to the town area. Very private and close to the main roads. Lupe and her husband took really good care of us during our stay. Breakfast was always hot & ready in the morning. Service with a smile.

The WIFI could be better. It kept going out and slow connection.

LOOK PICTURE Olisin halunnut kertoa siitä mikä oli hyvää, mutta viimeisen illan väkivaltainen hyökkäys päälleni vei kaiken hyvänkin isosti negatiiviseksi. I would have liked to tell what was good about it, but the violent attack on me last night turned everything good into a big negative.

The owner's son is violent! Everything about this place was challenging from the start and on the last night the owner's son attacked me, twisted my arm and hit me. He forcibly took my phone and glasses, which broke. The owner's husband also tried to attack me. The police were there and here is a report - see the picture. Do not go here for your own safety.

Family run business. Well loved property and accommodation very comfortable. Just outside of downtown area but is walkable if you don't have a car. Highly recommend.

I really appreciated warm welcome and local knowledge of Lupe and Dean. The Hotel was a little oasis; a spacious open front breakfast area with a soothing vista of a swimming pool surrounded by copious plants and flowers and even a mature cactus tree.The cornucopia of diverse floral colours still lingers vividly in my mind. As i requested breakfast was a simple fair of local fresh fruits such as papaya, authentic bananas, apples, lychee, oranges etc. toast and jams. On a few mornings i was introduced to a local breakfast staple called Vaisalo (a warm porridge like fayre made with coconut flesh and tapioca starch). Cereals were available and I presume eggs upon request. A major attraction of Vaea Hotel is it proximity to the centre of town - 10 to 15 minutes walk max. Also there are local mini-marts, grocery stores; eateries and restau rants within 5 to 8 minutes walk. Overall I had a throughly enjoyable stay at Apia Vaea Hotel and would recommend highly to anyone who wants to get a flavour of real Samoan life and a more personable experience as a oppose to staying in a big resort.

Great location accessible to everywhere in Apia. Great breakfast and hosts Lupe and Naea.

Facilities average and good for value.

Location is so good. Minutes away from all the major attractions in Apia town centre. Easy to find after driving from the airport as it is just off that main road. Father and son team, Dean and Shane were fantastic hosts giving handy local information, adjusting breakfast to suit my dietary requirements. Fabulous pool and a great view of the mountain.
