Hotel Timor

It’s central to many things, clean comfy and staff are terrific. The 2 cleaning men on my floor were exceptional

The hot food at breakfast was cold.

Very good breakfast and dinner options in pleasant surroundings

Unfortunately there were events downstairs which impacted a bit on early sleep (but is WAS a festival week - and this IS a key Hotel for celebrations - so understandable and they did warn me and also it stopped at midnight, so not a big issue)

Great position in centre of town Lovely garden and pool but took some finding (entrance on the first floor) Great staff, really helpful

Dinner menu limited but good value for money No lift so beware if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage

Great location if you are going to take the early ferry to atouro - it’s a 4-5 min walk. Pool was nice to have Restaurant was great and the staff in the restaurant super helpful and friendly

We were asked via booking.com if we could like an airport pick up and immediately said yes and provided flight details - no further messages and no one there at airport to pick us up which was a bit disappointing and somewhat stressful having not been to dili before Staff were not overly helpful / were disinterested on the reception desk. We arrived Good Friday and enquired about how / where we might purchase ferry tickets for the morning. The man at reception said he thought it “might not run on Easter Saturday” and could not direct us where to either find out or buy tickets. When we asked whether there was another option for travel he said “not sure” and walked off. We walked down to the docks, found the ticket office and bought tickets for the ferry which was running as normal. We are very independent travellers and don’t expect hotel staff to know everything or do everything for us but when you pay this price for a hotel you expect receptions staff to try and help
