The views were possibly the best in Santorini, and (far better than Oia), this is the best position in Santorini for the sunset. If you are going to Santorini to see the views and sunset, I highly recommend Volcano Views by Caldera. All the rooms have magnificent views. I spent hours, days, and weeks researching hotels and trying to find the perfect hotel in Santorini, and fortunately, I found it! This hotel is a quintessential Santorini experience. I thought the hotel was in Fira, but it isn't; it's a fair distance (not far) outside the centre. However, the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service at 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, and 20:00 that operates very efficiently. It's a joy to be out of the bustling centre of both Fira and Oia, which was so busy we couldn't move in the narrow alleyways, and return to a haven of peace and tranquility. The staff are lovely and so pleasant, working hard to ensure that guests have an enjoyable time and a comfortable stay. Thank you to them all! I liked the ambience of the hotel; most of the time, it was quiet, which is what we need to absorb the phenomenal beauty of what we see. Please note that there are no lifts and quite a few stairs.

I arranged an airport transfer, which was good, specifically a very comfortable car; the driver was visible on arrival and lovely, but the vehicle had rubbish/plastic wrappers in front of me. Getting into a car with rubbish made me feel uncomfortable, and it was not a good start or impression of the hotel. I recommend that the hotel or driver check the car for rubbish before passengers get in. The bedroom had an overpowering mouldy smell when I entered; it had not been aired or checked ahead of arrival ie windows not opened or AC on and must have been closed for a while. Initially, the front desk said it was normal and the smell would go away, but I said I couldn't stay in the room and that it wasn't normal. They moved me to another room. I recommend the hotel check the rooms for freshness before guests arrive. My stay was too short, so I didn't have the opportunity to experience the pools or hotel facilities. I wish I had of stayed a couple of more days and will definitely choose Volcano Views by Caldera again.

Welcoming and helpful staff who go an extra mile to assist and make your stay a memorable one. Rooms overlook a breathtaking 24hour ocean view and the sunset is unforgettable.
