Pension Ruhrfrosch

Charming renovated building right in the centre of the old town. The bedroom was small but beautifully presented, and the bathroom was modern and clean. The owner came to meet us very quickly and explained everything we needed to know.

The inn was closed and we had to ring the owner to get let in (I speak German, kind of, so it wasn’t too bad, but I was a bit surprised!). Free parking is available on the main square behind the guesthouse, but only on certain days (the market uses the spaces a couple of times a week) - the owner said there was parking available elsewhere if we wanted it though, for €10.

We loved the fact that the house has bene renovated in a very thoughtful way: you have the feeling of being in a Grimm brothers´ fairy tale, but everything is at the same time very well thought through, clean and efficient: bathroom, plugs, check in system. The place is extremely clean, staff friendly and bed very comfortable!

Very comfy bed and clean room. Great bathroom facilities. I didn’t get the host name, but she was brilliant, couldn’t have helped us more if she tried.

Great location in the old town of Kettwig. Quiet room facing the courtyard. Updated bathroom was nice.

Mattress wasn’t very comfortable. There wasn’t proper curtains or shutters. Only sunshades and nothing to darken the room. The staff was unfriendly when we enter the pension thru the cafe.
