I always wanted to stop at this hotel while crossing the Simplon pass. I finally had the chance to stop and it was worth it. I got the information via what's up to access the facility. The parking was great and the reception area welcoming. There is an interesting museum about gold mining and working. the room was very minimalist and comfortable. no tv that I consider it a plus. I had dinner at the Belvedere restaurant across the road. basic menu with quality food. breakfast in the morning was good.

I was the only guest at the hotel. I got the room closed to the route with trucks passing through the night. that is why I did not give full score. next time I will request a room on a higher floor. The museum info is only in Swiss German.

Super freundliches Personal. Alles war wie besprochen vorbereitet. Gemeinschaftszimmer war sehr sauber und komfortabel. Das Essen im Restaurant war super.

Geweldig gebouw op mooie locatie

Nicht nur von aussen , sondern auch von innen ein aussergewöhnliches Hotel. Sehr gute Materialien sind verwendet worden und Inneneinrichtung ist architektonisch voll gelungen. Die Zimmer sind klein und ohne Fernseher, aber beides kein Problem. Das Abendessen war erstaunlich gut, Regionale Spezialitäten und keine Miniportionen.

Das Frühstück war echt dürftig, miese Säfte, kein Ei, mickriger Käse und nichts Besonderes an Schinken oder Wurst. Kein Naturyogurt und das alles bei den Hohen schweizer Preisen wenige Meter vor Italien.
