Club del Mar Oceanfront

We loved having two separate bedrooms and our big balcony where we could see the pool and the beach from. We loved that this place was at the south end of Jaco (closer to where we went surfing) so it was quieter and less crowded. We still had places to walk to eat (loved the Paddlefish Brewery nearby!). And there's a great, fairly easy hike up to a lookout spot just behind the hotel on the other side of the road. The hotel itself is small and really nicely kept and nicely decorated. Very relaxing and pretty!

Our room (room 200) was SO loud. I would definitely not stay in there again. We were next to the stairs and also the elevator, which made a lot of noise each time it was used. We were above the kitchen and housekeeping area as well as next to the road and entrance. The other thing that made this less desirable was there was no place to sit in the room(s) except for the beds. With the balcony and the stools and chairs out there, it was fine, but it would have been nice to have one chair in the room.

Beautiful property with the nicest people.

Great location near Jaco, beautiful beach, great place for sunsets. Staff was nice and accommodating. Overall, the hotel could use a little updating, but it was clean and comfortable. Ample, safe parking.

Nothing really. Good value for its location.

So much to like about this resort! Service is a 10+!! It is right on the beach which is a highlight for walking and enjoying breathtaking sunsets! The staff were exceptional, the restaurants food was amazing, and we loved seeing the sloth on the grounds, and the scarlett mccaws fly overhead daily. Exceptionally clean, this resort has a wonderfully warm vibe amongst all who were staying here. We were spoiled by our 2 bedroom condo unit!!

Its unfortunate that this beautiful resort is right beside a busy road where big trucks travel and have to use their air brakes coming down the hill and it's sporadically loud throughout the day and night, On weekends only, it can get busy with the locals enjoying the lawn between the resort and the beach, playing loud music as well.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. It made you feel like home. The food was exceptional and they cooked fish we caught. We liked it so much we booked for next year.

The only thing we did not like was the noise from the trucks using their Jake brakes on the highway that is next to the Resort. However, we soon got use to it and the noise is only real loud in front of the Resort.
