DREAM ISLAND Hotel

We booked this hotel very last minute, to spend one night in Luxor after arriving by cruise and before continuing to Hurghada. The hotel a few kilometer from the Nile, but it was actually nice to be in a 'normal' area and not in a tourism compound (but the rooftop view to the Nile is stunning!). The hotel offered a free pick-up from our the dock (unsolicited - which was nice). Staff were very helpful in arranging transport for seeing Luxor west bank and east bank sights and to Hurghada (via Dendera), and with arranging a morning balloon trip. Prices were not cheap, but very reasonable compared with some research we had done. With had a fantastic day around Luxor with their driver Jabe (or Jabbe, not sure how to spell his name). Good breakfast too!

Dinner was a bit underwhelming (but that's probably a hit and miss anyway). Else, all was fine. Great choice for our short stay (but also for a few days in Luxor). Didn't try the swimming pool (as we had no time, and as it was December).

A hidden gem of wonder!! Just amazing! I can’t say enough about my stay in Luxor. This hotel provided wonderful service; the tours were incredible (shout out to Amy) fantastic guide and full of wondrous information. She really knows her history. Made the sites that much more fascinating. The food was excellent, breakfast was filling and tasty, and the dinners were even better! Drivers matter too!! Shout out to Gabba!! Thank you!! The rooms were lovely with a patio view of the Nile River. Romantic and Historic.

The view from the rooftop - view of Hatshepsut's temple and the Nile River on the other side. Sunset was amazing. The room was simple and clean. In an isolated area so it is much quiet and away from traffic. The staff were respectful and attentive.

There was no kettle in the room. There was a dusty one outside the room that I cleaned and used for drinking hot water. The bathroom door did not close from outside. So while staying in the room, the bathroom door was always open. As it is a bit isolated, taxis or uber charge a lot. Still these things are fine and adjustable. I don't mind.

Magnifique hôtel avec une vue imprenable sur le Nil. L’ambiance était très agréable, et le soir du réveillon avec toute l’équipe, nous avons bien rigolé. Le personnel est sympathique et attentionné,Nous recommandons cet hôtel!

We were collected for free from the train station which saved any hassle getting to the hotel. We had only booked for one night, before a flight the following day, and we found that the staff (and particularly the manager) were very welcoming and very helpful throughout our short stay. When we left the hotel driver was already occupied so rather than have us wait for the driver to return and give us a lift to where we needed to be the manager immediately took us in his own car (many thanks for that super service). We can definitely recommend this hotel despite it being a little off the beaten track.

Very good service from the staff and very nice people! Wonderful view from the terrace and the rooms and a very nice location in the "village" of Luxor. Very quiet !!
