More Than A Drop

The staff was friendly and the dining, even if limited in choice was nice. The garden around the main building is very nice.

This concerns the house which is further down the street. The major issue and the main reason for the low rating is the water heater in the room we stayed (see the picture). My wife got hit by electric current (fortunately, nothing serious) that was running on the shower itself. This is a very dangerous, potentially life-threatening malfunction of the heater, so I believe constant checks on the appliance must be performed. The room was relatively small with a very large bed in it, so there wasn't much space for anything else. The room wasn't also very clean. Another issue, not related to the property itself, but to the location of this outer house, are the dogs in the yard nearby. They were very close to the window and were barking during the night, so I didn't get much sleep.

We love that the hotel is also a school for girls to be trained in hospitality and tourism. What an impact this place has!

The walk to centre is a little longer than i expected but not far really. 15-20mins. If you don’t like walking, then find something more central. I happily recommend this location though.

More Than a Drop is a culinary/ hospitality training program. The students do an excellent job.

I love the mission of this property (check out their website!). All the on-site staff was wonderful especially chef Martha! the proximity to town and other nearby day trips is great. They also will coordinate day trips for you and all of their quotes were cheaper for a solo traveler than any where else!

While the wi-fi worked in public places, it did NOT work in my room.

Room # 5 is close to kitchen & noisy. Choose another room. We were waken up early by the sounds & work around the kitchen.
