The Kandyan Villa

The room and view where amazing. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and were absolutely lovely. The view from the rooms are incredible, one morning we where higher than the clouds! Lovely pool area too and terrace to watch the sunset. We loved our stay here and have recommended to everyone!

The hotel did not take our credit card, as the machine "unfortunately" did not work. So we had to pay in cash, but got no receipt. After we left the hotel marked us as a "no show" so it really seemed they where very sketchy for some reason. When we arrived the hotel staff had a VERY heated argument with our driver right in front of us, both my wife and me had to say STOP before they eventually calmed down..... We did not feel confident about the 2 gentlemen in the reception at all! In general the staff forgot about our soft drink order for the dinner that I asked for 2 times. Also the dessert we where asked about 3 times did not get served as we asked for. All in all the staff and hotel seemed to have some problems in their management of the hotel. This is the first time we have experienced above in our 5 month travelling in Asia and Oceania

Great location, out of the hustle and bustle of Kandy

No issues, was great

Breakfast was mostly a little basic but on the last day it was excellent. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, especially Mr Shashika, who went out of his way to help us.

It was not easy to get transport to the city because of the hotel's location, so a hotel vehicle to take guests to at least the outskirts of the city would have been usuful. Access to the hotel when we arrived was very difficult and a hotel vehicle would have been very useful then too. A wider selection of fruits would have been most welcome. Given the large variety of fruits in Sri Lanka, I was surprised to see the same 2 or 3 fruits served

The view from the hotel is amazing and one can see the distance hills and the greenery with awesome sunsets. The service is great, the staff was helpful especially Shashika who dealt with all our requests and queries effectively and professionally.

The location is a little challenging to reach especially if you are travelling in a large vehicle
