Great location. Close to the trains. Lots of shopping nearby.

Staff members seemed a bit disorganized. Bathroom was pretty small.

Best location ever with reasonable price. Right on the major street of Kyoto, it's easy to access the most famous attraction like Gion, nishiki market, pontocho. Need a cup of coffee? Starbucks is right down floor.

The room door is quite low, and the bathroom is tiny as well. It may not be suitable for tall guys.

Bad wifi connection, musty smells, there was no hand soap only body wash which was broken.

Didn't have breakfast there. Location was great.

Bed was uncomfortable, did ask room service if thet would add extra under padding which did agree to do but it didn't happen. Decore was tired. As with all other hotel bathrooms, there was no shelving/bench space for putting things on.

Staff were helpful, location is good for getting around most of Kyoto with ease.

I didn’t really notice it being a completely smoking hotel, I feel that wasn’t really mentioned in the description so be ready for all corridors and your own room to smell. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve slept on in any country and the showering space felt like a prison space, I know bathroom amenities here are small but this one made all previous Japanese bathrooms feel like a place. My knees were completely slammed against the door whenever on the toilet it was quite uncomfortable.

the smell of cigarette in the room, it was sooo strong. to be fair, we didn’t report this to the front desk and encountered the same situation in Osaka at a different hotel, seems to be common in Japan
