Villa Natali

This pension is located in a very quiet street a 30 minutes walk from the center. The room is equipped according to the description in booking. Everything is rather new and rather clean. There is a stone floor, which I much prefer to a carpeting floor. The bathroom has a very good (hot) shower but smells of sewage. The comfortable and real double bed is unfortunately equipped with polyacril fibre bed linen and pillows. Good aircon and lightning in the room. The window is very well soundproofed. However, the walls are not. You can hear everything from the next room. The breakfast is quite good by Macedonian standards.

I reserved a room with a lake view. However, this room smelled so strongly of sewage that I refused to stay in it. The room I was then offered without a lake view also smelled, but only in the bathroom. My room was in Villa Nathali 2. During my stay of three nights there was no room service, not even the garbage was picked up. The walls between the rooms are very thin. There were no chairs in my room.

Nothing, not helpful or hospitable at all!

TV cables hanging everywhere, thin bedsheet and no duvet, no mattress protectors, dirty mattress, dirty room, stick door with greasy makes, smelly bathroom like sewage, staff not hospitable and most absent during our stay. This is advertised as a 4 star hotel and it’s not by any stretch of the imagination anywhere near 1 star even. It’s like the most basic, dirty uncomfortable hostel type accommodation.

There were spiderwebs in the bathroom, the shower had no closing door, so there was water everywhere after taking a shower. Also, the bed wasn’t too comfortable and the pillows were bad.

It was new and boutique. The beach was across the road and it was not too far in a taxi to the centre at night. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They called taxi for us that were honest reliable and didn't overcharge. Breakfast was amazing and included bacon and eggs which is rare for included breakfast in Ohrid. A great experience and I'll definitely consider going back there.
