Douskos Port House

Nice staff and clean room.

Its not a hotel in any sense just rooms +breakfast.This is provided outside which is no doubt great 90% of the time but when it is cold and wet not so much.There was loud booming music nearby until 5am which is apparently the norm for a Friday.Bells from 7am so no sleep that night.Thursday was ok though.

Nous sommes arrivés a Hydra pour commencer notre sejour en Grece depuis le Pirée, nous avons ete dans le bain directement ! La chambre etait grande et donnait sur le port, magnifique ! Le petit dejeuner superbe egalement, avec une mention speciale pour notre serveuse pour qui c'etait son premier jour !

Prix elevé par rapport a tous nos autres hebergements dans différents endroits du Peloponnese, mai ca valait le coup !

L'accueil, la propreté de la chambre, la pièce commune où on peut se faire un café et le must un excellent petit déjeuner sur le toit terrasse qui domine le port.

L'absence d'obscurité dans la chambre car la lumière est allumée dans le couloir toute la nuit et ça passe sous la porte et sur les côtés.

Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The manager spotted us in town and even checked in with us to make sure we were OK. So lovely. The hotel did an excellent job in catering to our vegan dietary requirements. The breakfast was amazing. Rooftop view was stunning. The room was fresh, comfortable and very clean. Fantastic location right on the harbour.

Very steep steps to bring luggage up to the room. We knew about this in advance. Must be fit and healthy to do this. Luckily we are.

The property is an ace location if you appreciate having the harbour right at your doorstep. The view from my suite room had double aspect which also gave a glimpse of the clock tower.

Note- do not book if you are not easy on your feet! It would have been nice to know that access is via a rather steep staircase. Carrying your luggage up/down was a nightmare. Granted, my suitcase was mostly full of photo/video equipment but still under 20kg. Didn’t enjoy that part. Couldn’t they install some shoot/rails just for the suitcases? Surely solutions are available.

La ubicación excelente en el mismo puerto. Los desayunos desde la terraza eran buenisimos y con vistas inmejorables. La atención de todo el personal fue estupenda. Sin duda, volvería a repetir.
