Beneste Nerja Hostal

Spacious, well equipped apartment with a balcony and (!) a huge patio. Very kind and responsive hosts, Jarno helped out with everything, gave us beach towels free of charge and lent me a book I ended up keeping because I hadn’t finished it before we left. Great experience, well recommended. 😊

It tends to get a bit noisy as it’s next to the main road. Some curtains would also do be a good idea as the flat is on the ground floor, so you’re either in the dark or fully out in everyone’s sight.

The couple running the hostel were really friendly and very helpful. They gave us great advice about where to go each day and how to get there. There was a good selection of books to read so that when I finished my book earlier than planned, I was able to exchange it for another. The hostel is located close to a couple of supermarkets and is only a 10 minute walk away from where you can catch the main buses. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Nerja.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about my accommodation. I would recommend this to anyone.

Our stay at Hostal Alegre was amazing, Cecilia & Jarno are the best of hosts. Their love and care show in every detail of the place. Very pleasant, clean, and comfortable. The bar is also super nice and worth a stay for a drink and some homemade tapas. And whenever we were in need of any recommendations or advice, they were extremely helpful as well. When you are there, you can really feel how much they enjoy being hosts, interacting with their guests, and doing everything to make their stay worthwhile. We would definitely book there again if we return to the area.

Not right in the hustle and bustle, but easy enough to walk to beach and shopping area. Large supermarket practically next door.

WiFi in our room wasn't good, kept dropping out.

The owners were beyond lovely and hospitable! Couldn’t have asked for friendlier hosts! We were given a map of nerja and they showed us all the hotspots. They made our trip so lovely and easy we will definitely be back! The rooms & balcony were so beautiful, I didn’t want to leave!!

We loved our stay at Hostal Alegre. Our room was exceptionally clean, cool and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and we were pleased that beach towels, chairs and an umbrella were included. Make sure to have a drink at the bar and have a chat to Jarno who is a fantastic host.
