Bumi Ayu Bungalow Sanur

Quiet area, away from the busy main street in Sanur. Deluxe room is spacious but it all looks and feels a little outdated and can do with some upgrade. The Room felt mostly clean. Pool is a nice cool off spot. Some nice restaurants nearby for breakfast (and other meals) if you opt out for it with your booking. Walking to the beach is about 10 minutes.

The hotel area was giving great holiday vibes, pool was big.

You could hear neighbours from other bungalow quite good. However there was white noice from pool and animals.

The hotel is very well positioned for the main street running through Sanur with its bars, restaurants, shops & mini markets but importantly it's set back far enough not to hear any traffic noise and is actually very quiet at night. The gardens and pool area are lush with shrubs & trees, all are very well maintained and provide privacy in front of your accomodation; it's a very pleasant place to chill out. The pool itself is quite big and divided into three sections with more than enough loungers & padded covers to go around. Breakfast is of good quality and reasonably priced. Laundry can be handled by the hotel but I used the local service directly facing the hotel entrance and it was excellent. My bungalow was roomy with a nice verandah, table & chairs out front and a high ceiling (10 feet?) keeping it cool in 32C even without the aircon on. It had a king size bed and a single which to my eyes was almost a double. There was a small fridge, tv, wardrobe, bedside table & lamp and kettle plus several other surfaces for luggage etc. Tea, coffe and drinking water are provided, rooms cleaned daily & towels changed; bedsheets too if you want that. As others have mentioned, the bathroom may be old style but it met my needs perfectly well and rather than linger in there, I preferred to be enjoying the beautiful gardens & pool. Goes without saying but all staff were friendly and helpful and took pride in their work; full marks to them. All things considered I picked a winner here; you get a lot for your money and I recommend it highly.

quiet off streets older style big rooms and grounds, double pool so nice to relax, one block back from Sanur main drag and then another to the beach, 5 mins to Icon shops.

The pool had a relaxing feel, as others have said this place attracts retirees. The staff were lovely and the rooms were well presented. Mosquito nets around the bed were available and are required!

I’m feel conflicted writing this review as the location great and the staff were so beautiful and deserve the best. I stayed in a room by the pool but unfortunately my health was severely affected by the mould at the property. I suffer awful allergic reactions to mould. The room was well presented, clean on the surface. The shower didn’t drain, indicating blockages. After a few hours in bed, I started reacting to the room and realised that water damage etc had been painted over. The staff showed me other rooms and i moved that night but all were the same. Dogs barking most of the night also added to the lack of sleep. The mould is as a result of the floods in Sanur in Jan 2026, I left the town completely as all hotels/shops etc were impacted.
