The receptionist was very helpful and accommodating when we went back to say could we have a room on the ground floor and a fan to try and be more comfortable in the stuffy heat. The room was very small but adequate. The double bed was comfortable. The shower was multifunctional and plenty of hot water. The hotel location was handy for the motorway and there were plenty of fast food outlets nearby.

The hotel was dated and tired with a lot of wood flooring in need of repair. It was unfortunate that it was the hottest day/evening of the year so far as it was stifflingly hot and we were put on the 2nd floor up with the warmest rooms and no air-conditioning. Whilst being a cosy bathroom with all facilities, most were loose or tired (the sink tap pillar was wobbling at all angles, the toilet seat was only held on with one bolt and I nearly fell off and the showerdoor seal needed resealing)
