Gabala Karvan Hotel

The only thing likable about this place is the city it is located in, that is Gabala. Nothing else.

Firstly this place does not classify as a hotel, rather a hostel at best. So booking.com needs to correct this. We reached the "hotel" after 3pm and were rudely welcomed by the reception who told us they were busy. Then upon showing my booking, we were given a room which had extensive Mold on the wall and broken toilet seats and fixtures. This was unacceptable and I confronted the staff to give us another room. The room we got as a replacement also had broken toilet seats and malfunctioning toilets fixtures, but we accepted the fact our stay was going to be a nightmare as there was no refund policy. So we tried our best to stay outdoors as much as possible. At night when we reached back from exploring the city, I asked the hotel reception if they provide water in room, to which he showed me old canisters of water and said I'm welcome to come down and take water from it. No thanks sir, I'm fully capable of buying my own bottle of water from nearby shops. In the room, a tiny AC was only in the living room, and the bed room had no fan or AC. Our night sleep was the most uncomfortable we had stayed ever. Even the toiletries they provided were a fake Chinese rip off of Head and Shoulders with the name Head and Shampoos. Also the internet was terrible, with wifi routers atleast 15 years old models. I gave 2 rating, instead of 1, because Gabala city is breathtaking.

Break fast was excellent. Very good staff and budget friendly. Manager , owner and staffs were all very friendly..Excellent breakfast. super.

AC not much cool, washroom shower head not working . But manageable.

The location was good.. staff was friendly..

There was no lift... we had to climb 3 staircases...no electric kettle was available, there was no room service..t.v wasn't working
