Breakfast was standard continental. Location is very close to Cologne train station and it's easy to find. Staff were friendly.

Decor of hotel is old, dated, and quite stark and unwelcoming. Tiny lift that can only be used by one person. It was a hot night and there is no air con, curtains had not been drawn to keep the heat out and it was boiling. Fans were provided but to little avail. There was a balcony which could be nice, however there were no chairs to sit on , it was surrounded by ugly concrete blocks and an unemptied ashtray. Not sure how clean it was either.

Es war nicht sauber, zu klein und zu enges Bad, viele Dinge waren defekt wie das Waschbecken und die Duschwanne.

Es war hauptsächlich alles in Ordnung und gut soweit, jedoch hat unsere Badewanne nicht so funktioniert, wie erhofft. Es sah aus wie ein Jazzuzi, hat aber nicht funktioniert. Wir haben uns auch nicht am Rezeption gemeldet, deshalb waren wir vielleicht selber Schuld.

The gentleman who checked us in had a great sense of humor and spoke English fluently, which helped us feel at home. He gave us a city map and helpful recommendations.

Our room door didn't fully lock.
