Hotel Parco Smeraldo Terme

Charming, well-run and well-maintained hotel and grounds. Well-trained, professional and friendly staff- especially Vincenzo in the bar/ sommelier and the Reception team. Position of hotel set amongst lovely gardens with fab pool and directly on beach. Views from Maronti beach and from sea itself looking inland were gorgeous . Good selection at buffet breakfast , then in evening antipasti followed by small choice on set menu .

The air-conditioning kept dripping with condensation despite maintenance promptly coming to clean filter. The shower could be updated as old fashioned.

Best thing about it was the thermal waters, small area but relaxing, food was amazing.

Old room, that was a little bit smelly (old wood), the AC’s location was the worst, right nxt to the bed, all the air was hitting on my head, had to come up with ways to cover it without us suffering at night from the heat. My husband abd I did a couple massage, in fact it was a cuddle, they barely touched us, although i asked for more pressure, it was a waste of money in fact that massage gave me more stress!

What a wonderful, peaceful, clean family owned hotel. The hotel is beautiful throughout and very well maintained. The staff are so professional and helpful. Some of the staff speak multiple languages which is very impressive - They have Italian, English, German, Dutch and French speaking guests. The hotel has direct access to Maronti beach with free loungers and umbrellas and also has an indoor and outdoor pool. Every part of the hotel was clean. The food was exceptional - fully recommend the half board option for adults. It represents good value and there are choices for each course. There is a generous selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and cocktails/mocktails on the menu - expertly made with fresh local produce and not excessively priced. Reception was very helpful and informative. The hotel does cater for children but is probably best suited to adults. We were treated to two fantastic firework shows during our stay - one from the neighbouring campsite and the other from a small boat on the sea. The air conditioning in the rooms was sufficient to keep me nice and cool. The extra door between the hall and my room helped ensure a peaceful sleep. I stayed in a single room with a partial sea view and the room wasn’t too small. The bed was a good size for a single too.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but other guests might benefit from the following information. There’s no kettle in the room. This wasn’t an issue but if we’d realised beforehand we probably would have brought a travel kettle. The mosquitos were a nuisance - recommend you bring a deterrent and something to treat any bites. The hotel has a selection of books on the third floor as you get out the lift but they’re pretty high brow so you either want to bring sufficient with you or you can take a trip to Sant Angelo where there’s a small selection of English books in the shop at the top of the hill.

It's the second time I stayed at this hotel. I love this place! Stylish quiet and clean rooms with balconies. Located at Ischia's best beach. The hotel has its own private beach (free for guests), which is great, and a swimming pool with warm water. There is also spa area with an indoor thermal water pool - a great place to chill. The staff is amazing - super friendly and helpful. Thr food and drinks are beyond words, so good.

We had an excellent stay at Parco Smeraldo Terme. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the staff was exceptional, the facilities were very clean and well maintained and gorgeous, the food and drinks were fantastic. We especially enjoyed their spa and thermal baths. Can’t wait to go back.

Not a lot to do nearby

We are in love with Ischia and specially The Smeraldo hotel. Everything was perfect: the helpful and friendly staff ( we are impressed from the 4 star service) ; the delicious and tasty food; the clean and specious rooms ; the facilities and the beach which is a bit steep but with crystal clear water .

the hotel was clean, quiet beautiful and the whole staff were so nice. the spa was beautifully and relaxing, amazing breakfast buffet with lots of options. the beach was also very lovely with lots of space.

the only thing I didn’t like was the room I was out in. because I was a solo traveller they said it was a twin bed but it was more of a single bed. I think in Italy a single bed size is called twin but anyway it was not the most comfortable bed to sleep on. but rather then this I have nothing to complain about as I had a very lovely stay and will be back one day soon.
