Mimosa Tulum

Beds were comfy, located close to the centre of Tulum. Was a 15 minute walk to ado bus. This is not a boutique hostel by any means. It is a very overpriced for what it is and not worth the extra price at all. Go to one of the better established hostels and save your money. Nice pool and property looks nice and very large lockers other than that not worth the money. Biggest regret staying here.

Don’t be expecting any recommendations, reception is always empty, they told me a taco place was shut down which wasn’t and just in general there was no staff around to help. The aircon is only set to 25 degrees and gets so hot if you are not directly next to the aircon. I asked for it to be at 24 degrees and they refused. They said it’s for environmental reasons yet they leave so many lights on all night outside. I asked for a bottom bunk that was unoccupied and they said no it’s occupied and then every night the bed was empty for the 3 nights I stayed. They had a main bathroom with a sink area and hooks to hang clothes when changing that was shut down as out of service for the whole weekend so there was nowhere to put your things down on a sink to get ready and hang your things up in the alternate bathroom that was a communal block as the communal areas sink was always wet and dirty. I let the cleaning lady know the sink was wet and dirty and she told me to clean it myself. Showers were dirty, not enough space and only one hook to hang things on so you could only have a towel and the showers had mosquitos in them. There was no where to get properly changed except in these showers due to no hooks anywhere so constantly having to stand in a wet shower to change your clothes. Had men staring at me in a towel as I had to keep going back and forth from the room to shower due to no hooks and space to put a toiletries bag that was not wet. Not what I’d expect of a ‘boutique’ hostel. Toilets weren’t cleaned enough and sometimes covered in pee and poo. Also told this to staff and they did nothing to clean them. Non stop electronic music in the bar so you can’t chill out in any of the common spaces without constant electronic music until after 11pm even with no one there. No vibes at all it’s just such a terrible hostel don’t stay. I shared all this with them and they said they’ll do something to try make it right and did nothing.

Le tipi est très mignon, vaste, présence d’un petit point d’eau à l’intérieur et climatisation. Sanitaires très bien aménagés et propres. Piscine parfaite pour se rafraîchir. Les espaces en commun sont cosy et agréables. Le bar. Personnel accueillant et aux petits soins. Hôtel très bien situé et calme absolu. La localisation de l’hôtel (cafés, restaurants et magasin dans les alentours).

La cuisine n’est accessible qu’à partir de 14h (impossible de préparer un petit déjeuner ou un lunch) et n’est absolument pas fonctionnelle (plaques de cuisson défaillantes, absence d’ustensiles et de casseroles en bon état)

Hostel construit au milieu de la nature au calme avec les chants d'oiseaux. J'ai passé 3 nuits dans un tipie. C'était une expérience intéressante. Tout est bien propre et le personnel agréable.

Peut être le fait que la douche et les toilettes soient communes à l'extérieur. Mais ce n'est pas un problème puisqu'elles sont vraiment propres. Et aussi peut être le fait que leur bureau d'excursions ne soit pas vraiment impliqué. Cherchez vous-même un organisateur d'excursions en ville.
