Owner’s wife was grumpy. I didn’t care until the last evening when I got locked out of the gate while returning on my scooter. I had to climb over and once I knocked on the owners' door, the wife showed up saying that the lock was open, which was not true. Once it was opened and closed again, she went back inside without even a word of apology. We are human and we can fail but we can also recognise when it’s our fault and say a simple word: “sorry”

It’s falling apart! The thatched roof in the main area is full of holes. Two rooms have river views. Room 2 floor boards move and creak when walked on. Water pressure very poor. Floor in bathroom is deadly when wet, must wear thongs. No ac and balcony door must be kept closed in evening as mossies are plentiful. The swimming platform could be great if some work was done on it. In its present state it’s dangerous. Access to the water is via jumping 2-3 meters or via steel ladder then walking on broken sandbags into the mud. If you look around while under the swim platform you will see broken and/ or cracked support poles and beams. This is a potential disaster waiting to happen. I couldn’t see any safety items in the area.

I absolutely adored my room with a balcony over the water. And even if you don't have one of these, the bar-restaurant has a very similar position and view. I was there for the rest and quiet, and I found it. Had a good swim in the river, which is ok clean for that. There's a small kayak to paddle too. And wonderful sunset by the way.

Wonderful, lovely location if you prefer a serene, calm place to stay. The family that owns and runs it is warm and welcoming. The food is great. We enjoyed using the paddle board and swimming in the river. We had so much fun kayaking at “the loop” which is very close from the accommodation. Wifi is slow which can be improved. I also suggest to serve variety of fruits for breakfast and better quality of coffee. Overall, it was a fun, peaceful stay! Thank you for hosting us Kevin!

Everything was great! Location, hosts, calmness, being alongside the river, nature, sunset viewpoints, food, recommendations and more!! We felt right at home. Whether you are looking for a budget bungalow or a bungalow with balcony and amazing views, they have got it all and are very flexible to accommodate their clients. The road leading to the city center has just been finished so it's now a smooth 15mins motorcycle ride away. Overall one of our best stay! Thank you so much
