Lotus Grand Akm

The main advantage of this hotel is the location. It is one of the closest options to the train station, which was exactly what we needed before our early morning toy train to Shimla. The station is just a couple of minutes away on foot. The hotel is on a closed street with no cars, only people and motorbikes, which made it feel calm and easy to reach. It seems that many guests stay here for the same reason, to catch the train in the morning. The hotel itself is very small, with only a few rooms, which made the stay feel quiet and peaceful. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and polite, and left a really pleasant impression. Room service is available and the food menu has a good variety. The hotel is a bit worn and the furniture and appliances are old, but everything was clean and tidy.

The hotel is a little outdated, and the bathroom, especially the shower, could be improved. It was manageable for one night, but probably would not be very comfortable for a longer stay.

Staff were lovely. Good spot to train.

The property is very tired and needs sorting. The room was dirty, bed linen stained. Bathroom was so dusty. Towels were not clean. When shown to rooms guy sprayed air freshener as were musty and smelt. Air con did not work in one room we had so hot and humid night with no sleep.

We had a nice one night stay here which was great value for money. The hotel is in easy walking distance to and from the railway station and local town. The staff were friendly and the room was clean, our room was facing out from the front of the building with a large window. Taxi's to visit the surrounding area can easily be sorted just outside the railway station.
