Simple comfy warm rooms. Food was great

It was clean, comfortable, and very convenient for a short stay. The location was ideal and check-in was straightforward.

It’s a traditional Scottish hotel - surprisingly the breakfast was only continental - not an issue but generally people prefer the full Scottish and there were few places around for breakfast on a Sunday

It was a lovely spacious room and nice shower room spoilt by the excessive noise until 12.30-1am.

I think the hotel should tell you in the listing BEFORE you book that Friday and Saturday nights are very noisy and you won’t be able to sleep until 12.30-1am. We were only told after booking confirmation received and with such limited accommodation available for the night we were staying it left us with no other option. The noise from doors slamming, people shouting and the high level of extreme noise from crazy loud music so much so the bedroom walls were vibrating! Such a shame as the restaurant attached to the hotel was absolutely first class but the lack of sound proofing in the room was really disappointing after such a nice room and lovely meal we had.

The room was comfortable and spacious. Nice tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

The room was dated and a bit on the chilly side. A couple of places black mold on the base of the shower. We were right above people talking and laughing outside it was noisy. Took me a while to get to sleep. Found the Continental breakfast a bit pricey we did not have this because of the price per head.

Staff were very friendly

Tired looking bed very small double had to change room due to faulty heating - cold rainy day which made staying in the room uncomfortable as it wasn’t the cosiest
