Whoopers Boutique Hotel, Anjuna

- Cleanliness issues, dorms were stinking, and there was some water leakage from the roof on my dorm bed. - They didn't provide RO water initially, they provided it only when asked. - The whole staff is busy policing customers, they had a no outside food policy. They asked me to show the contents of a packet and it only had some packaged snacks (chips, Biscuits, etc) for my morning travel. I've never experienced such bad behavior from hostels in my travel history. Many hostels don't allow outside food only in dorms for hygiene reasons. But they're forcing you to buy every small thing from them at a double-triple price with poor quality. I had Amul package lassi, and they told me that we sell lassi, you should buy from us, and you can't bring that. I just discovered a new way of begging. Their in-house kitchen is only operative till 11 PM. If you need something after that then stay hungry till morning until their kitchen re-opens.

Rooms were very beautiful. Colors were soo soo good and the decor was sweet. Very helpful staff and the people were all good.

Food was very very costly and very few options. And outside food wasn't allowed. That was really a problem. The pool is in front so not very private. Did not have any toiletries in the room .

Rooms were big; new property; nice bar area; good for early/mid 20s crowd

It’s advertised as a boutique hotel but it was more of a hybrid between hostel and a hotel. For example, no room service and you are not suppose to eat in the room which seems very odd for a hotel - apparently it was for the smell; our rooms were not cleant after the first night - we didn’t specifically ask them but in a hotel you would expect they would do it anyway or check if it should be done; you’re not allowed to bring your own alcohol from outside which is a good rule for large groups but we were a couple so don’t think it should necessarily apply to us..none of the staff created a big fuss generally they were easily going so appreciated that

The hotel has a great vibe! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Simply beautiful place with a great outdoor pool :)
