Hotel Lieto Soggiorno

Great location halfway between the two cathedrals and very close to the main plaza. This place makes me also a bit nostalgic as I have been staying here for years (since the times of the previous owner, Vincenzo). The possibility of self-check in makes it much easier. Very friendly staff. I read about issues with the hot water, but it was perfect during my stay. I would stay here again.

I does not feel like it is handled by professionals (nice people, but rather amateurish). I think the owners or managers need to stay in one of these rooms for a few days to understand what doesn't work and the small inconveniences: the towel hanger is useless and it makes the towel sit inside the sink (I ended up hanging the towel on the hair dryer), there is no shelf to put your shampoo or soap in the shower (you have to put them on the floor), no ventilator in the bathroom but I managed to crack the window open. Opening the window means that insects get in (and they did!) as there is no screen. Offering a bottle of water would have been nice. No one serviced the room in my 3 days stay. At least they asked if I wanted new towels. There were 3 remote controls for the AC, with only one AC ;). The cups used during breakfast did not feel properly cleaned. I'm not only talking about the typical stains that happen after frequent coffee pouring (acceptable) but the one I had stank as if it was used for milk before and not washed properly. I just couldn't drink my tea.

Schoon en netjes. Mooie badkamer.

Kamer met 2 losse bedden erg klein, stond niet op de fotos. Geen plek om de fiets (droog) te stallen.

Middle of town so not far from anything. Nice breakfast and lovely room

Transfer from parking would have been nice as it’s a very steep town.
