Ocean Cliff Hotel Negril Limited

We had an absolutely fantastic experience here. IF you want a cliff-side experience and a break from the beach, this is the place to be. Especially because it's adult only. It's quiet, peaceful, and tastefully decorated. No loud Caribbean colors...all in neutral tones and villas that are decorated in island style, but without the kitsch. The restaurant is also appropriately priced for the market. They don't take advantage of tourists like in other resorts.

This February was our first stay at Ocean Cliffs Resort in Negril. It certainly won’t be our last. It’s ranking on Trip Advisor goes up and down the rankings and maybe that’s to our benefit. We never want to hear it is all booked and we have to find another hotel. It is a beautiful, impeccably cared for small hotel with dedicated staff who are happy to accommodate any request. When I requested soy milk for my coffee - done! We requested extra cushions for our outdoor Adirondack chairs with a view of the sea - done! The outdoor dining, pool, pool deck and beach and bar area can get drenched with sea water during one of their wild winter Caribbean Cold Fronts (storm) but the design of the property is brilliant. The sea water flows right back through their drainage into the Caribbean, allowing one to safely navigate the property without soaking one’s shoes/sandals. They are super fast at cleaning sand from all surfaces and the pool is refilled quickly. Service is never interrupted and the owner is on site, the Manager, Heather, ever present, thus ensuring the team provides the highest and most personalized level of customer service. But they really don’t need the supervision - every member of staff conveys friendliness and personal motivation to make your stay wonderful. The Spa services are excellent and delightfully priced. The restaurant is terrific, accommodating special dietary needs, and offers live entertainment at dinner some evenings each week. We aren’t big drinkers so we can’t address the quality of cocktails but the bar staff are friendly and always willing to fill your ice bucket (as are restaurant staff). Everyone is so friendly! Sunsets are magical, beautiful, heavenly. I LOVE the unique sea-facing hammocks! We made reservations to return before departing for the airport, so that’s the strongest endorsement, right?

We had such a great time at Ocean Cliff! We went for our 1 year wedding anniversary trip and it was the perfect stay. Tameka, Rockel, Afrimai and the whole team there really made us feel right at home. Thank you all, we will definitely be coming back!

Went to this beautiful property for a three generation birthday weekend with mum and daughter. We had a pretty bad accident on the way but decided to continue on. My mum sprained her wrist and was provided with a bandage upon check in. Welcome drinks were also greatly appreciated. So was the coffee in room which was comfortable for the three of us. Overlooked the beautiful sea with the sound of the waves serenading. What was wonderful too is the front desk receptionist singing happy birthday to me as I walked past on day two. Great staff, beautiful location.

As most visitors agree, the best part of Ocean Cliff Hotel and the Blue Mahoe Restaurant is the staff who make guests feel welcome and at ease. Despite everyone local having suffered losses from the recent hurricane, there is a positive relaxed attitude and atmosphere. Pros Very friendly and helpful staff in hotel and restaurant. Front desk staff very happy to make reservations and arrange taxis. Peaceful and generally quiet (With the exception Friday & Saturday nights when we were there. Very loud music from the nearby street bar til 3am. Hotel called police and it stopped for the rest of our week stay.) Apparently this was unusual. Gorgeous oceanfront views and beautiful lush landscaping. ( temporarily damaged by cold weather but lovingly tended by Nicholas) Comfortable chairs and lounge chairs and hammocks with umbrellas and shade covers in manmade “ beach” area groomed daily. Small clean sea water pool. Ladder access to ocean for swimming and snorkeling. Snorkel equipment provided for free. Restaurant open 7 am- 9 pm with nice varied menu. Great service, fresh fruits and vegetables, American and Jamaican dishes. Breakfast can be included in room rate. Rooms are very clean, have comfortable beds, large bathrooms and tiled showers, AC or windows with screens, mini fridge, mini safe, coffee maker w coffee, etc. Good decent wifi Cons - Not really walkable safely to any shops because of very narrow busy road and no sidewalks, so taxis strongly recommended. Safer tourist recommended taxis not cheap. The Seven Mile Beach area has lots of restaurants, music and shops, but it's a taxi ride away. Taxi ride from Montego Bay Airport (maybe 50 miles) was expensive and ride took 2 hours both ways. Wish we had a water taxi. Although, it was very interesting seeing the scenery and towns along the way. Tips - Can arrange a taxi to nearby market for lg. jug of treated water, beer, wine, snacks to keep in room. Sun screen, etc. Try nearby Erica's Hideaway Restaurant for authentic Jamaican location/food/welcome. Yamon Redstripe Catamaran Cruises are wonderful. Relaxed. Not crowded at all. Read or Listen to: Augustown by Kei Moller and/or Sweetness in the Skin by Ishi Robinson or other book about Jamaica. Consider bringing school supplies to donate to nearby public schools. As a Canadian, know for being nice, we have to take a step back and hand it off to Jamacains. Having been all over the world, this being our 3rd time here, the spirit of Jamaica is alive and well, everywhere you go. What a pleasure. Now, here at Ocean Cliff, we are on a first name basis with Billy, Vanessa, Allison, Levada, Nicholas and especially Shannakay - who refused to let me have a Coke because I am diabetic... I did manage to sneak one behind her back. Janelle and Shanike gave us each the best massage we have ever had, and we are in our 70's! Being only 50 guests at this boutique Hotel is marvelous. Never having to rush to get a lounge chair, reservation for dinner or anything else means a very relaxed environment. We stayed in a Seaside (3) ocean view hut, and it is perect in every way. Btw, if you have something that represents that you are NOT from the USA, wear it. It makes them happy.

Amazing! Beautiful and clean, and everyone was so kind to us. The restaurant is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Love Allison! The massages we did twice⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Everyone was working so hard to clean up bc the winds and rain were crazy upon arrival. We absolutely loved every single moment of it. We loved it so much we are going back there in the morning to stay a Cpl extra days!!

Lovely stay at the Ocean Cliff, we really enjoyed the property. It was quiet and the pool and lounge chairs were always quiet and available to use. Cardain (sorry if I spelled this incorrectly!), does a great job of maintenance and friendly demeanor. Food at the restaurant was decent, Sashay was our favorite server! But it was nice to get off the property to eat as well as there are many excellent places along the west end and 7 mile. Our driver Courtney was great at taking us to some great places and always making sure we got home safe, along with Vernon at the gate. We felt at home, everyone was so kind, house keeping was great, beds were comfortable. Yes, there is some street and party noise but I imagine its not going to be better anywhere else, never bothered me. I am a terrible sleeper and always slept really well. There is also the ability to snorkel right out front, which was a major bonus for us! Thank you guys for everything! We will be back! -Carmen and Travis
