No 6 The Square Tearooms & Accommodation

The location was perfect- we went for a spa treatment at The Buxton crescent spa and a meal at Santiago and it was all a stones through from the room- perfect mother and daughter experience. Thank you Sally for helping us with the parking and making our stay so pleasant. This was our view from the room.

Large comfortable room and nice bathroom

If you like ultra modern not for you. A character property. There was a pretty terrace for guests which would be lovely in Summer. We wanted proximity to Buxton Opera House and it was just across the street which was great.

Lovely Big bedroom. Excellent Tea room / cafe below. Very nice breakfast.

Bed was slightly uncomfortable, but everything was excellent.

So much better than expected! Location is just across the road from Buxton Opera House where we were heading that afternoon. Allowed us to check in early. Room was huge, as was the bed which was SO comfortable! As the tea rooms shut at 5pm we were given our own keys to access the building via a private side entrance when out of hours. Lots of steps so not suitable for those with mobility issues. Staff in tea rooms were lovely and very welcoming, even helping to carry cases. This is not a hotel, so no 24 hour reception etc but personally we loved the informality. There was even a separate room for guests, which was beautiful, with piano and comfortable chairs to relax in. Our bedroom overlooked the Pavilion Gardens and Opera House. No parking at the accommodation itself, but we had no problem finding a space directly outside which is free from 6pm until 8am. Lunch on day 1 was lovely, as was breakfast on day 2 (not included in room rate). Would definitely stay there again and ideally in the Pavilion Gardens room.

There was nothing we didn't like!

Room was lovely. Staff friendly and welcoming. We had lunch twice and breakfast. Excellent food and coffee.

It rained... a lot!

All the staff were wonderful; helpful, kind, curteous Cleam rooms, great food and location

The parking situation was not good. Had to keep moving the car. Be nice if a permit system was enabled for guests, I'd pay for this.
