Pour moi ce n est pas une chambre, plutôt un cagibi. Pas de vrai douche. Nous ne sommes restés qu une nuit. Ne correspond pas du tout à ce que booking nous a vendu.

Stayed a couple of nights, no issues at all. Clean room, good location, friendly people. Honestly, a very easy and pleasant stay.

We had been traveling through Vietnam for over a week, and by the time we reached Cat Ba, we were exhausted. When we checked into the hotel, the first thing we noticed was how welcoming the staff were — not in a formal way, but genuinely kind. They helped us with everything: where to eat, what tours to take, even how to avoid tourist traps. Our room wasn’t fancy, but it was clean, airy, and had a view overlooking the town and sea. That evening, we walked around easily since everything was so close — restaurants, small shops, and even a convenience store just around the corner. The next morning, we had breakfast — simple but satisfying. The coffee was strong, and the egg bread was surprisingly delicious. Sitting there, looking out at Cat Ba waking up, we felt completely relaxed. It wasn’t a luxury stay, but it didn’t need to be. It gave us exactly what we needed: comfort, convenience, and a sense of calm.

Keine Lage am Strand, trotzdem so angegeben, obwohl inzwischen die Bucht aufgefüllt und zugebaut wurde. Das gebuchte Zimmer (30 qm) nicht bekommen, dafür nur ein kleines Zimmer (20 qm), das sehr herunter gekommen war mit der Begründung alle Zimmer sind gleich (was ja nicht stimmt, siehe Buchungsoptionen der Zimmer) Putz bröckelte ab, Betten brett(!)hart, bei Bezug des Zimmers lag noch ein Zahnreiniger vom Vorgänger auf dem Nachttisch. Großes Fenster, dadurch helles Zimmer, aber die Fenster sind NULL schalldicht und Straßenklärm dringt ins Zimmer. Hotel insgesamt sehr hellhörig. Guten Service gab es nur bei zusätzlichen Geschäften (Tour und Rückfahrt buchen), jedoch nicht die gewohnten vietnamesische Gastfreundschaft. Z b. wurde unserer Bitte, nach der im Hotel (!) gebuchten Sunrisetour (die ging bis 9:00) noch das Frühstück (7:00 bis 9:00) zu bekommen, nicht entsprochen. Es gab dann eine einzige Tasse Kaffee. Man war nicht interessiert, 2 Eier und ein Baguette oder eine Nudelsuppe für uns aufzuheben. Das Frühstück bestand ja sowieso nur aus einem kleinen Gericht (Eine Wahl aus Omelette, Pancake, Nudelsuppe, Eier mit Baguette...) und einem kleinen Getränk (Eine Wahl aus Tee, Kaffee, ...). Saft oder Smoothie kostet extra. Wo bitte ist da, wie in Booking.com beworben, ein "hervorragendes Frühstück "?
