Hotel Ricas

The location was ok.

The room was fairly unkempt, the walls and the carpeting were dirty. There were no toiletries in the bathroom, except for hand soap and some toilet paper. It's a pretty busy location there and I found that the noise insolation was unable to keep noise to acceptable levels, and the curtains were fairly transparent and failed to keep light out of the room. Overall it was a very poor nights sleep.

The location was good. The hotel rooms are a good size. Triple glazed windows make the place quiet.

The place was not clean. The bathroom was very smelly and dirty. Initially they gave us a room that was not been cleaned up from the people before. We asked for another. Reception lady had no idea which rooms have been cleaned up or not. With the next key they literary said "tray this one and let me know". The air-conditioning was not working and the remote controls for the TV and aircon where very dirty and sticky with food.

- the room was clean and comfortable - the location was close to public transport, supermarkets and restaurants and near the main town centre. -

- reception was not staffed when we arrived although we arrived within the time frame indicated in our booking. - the receptionist did not speak English and was not friendly - The room was no more than half the size of the one we booked. - There was no signage on the exterior of the buiding.and the entry was signed to the gaming area - The entry required going up a flight of stos but the exit allowed access directly to footpath level. - No direct lighting at the lift area - The drain in the shower drained very slowly, meaning that we stood in 2-3 cm of water while showering. We raised the issue, got an "I'm sorry" but the issue was not fixed. - No soap or gel in the shower area. - Only one stool in the room. - No facilities for eating - cups, plates, toaster, hot water kettle, cuttlery etc.

I was offered a different room than the one I booked. Then the hotel receptionist could not do anything about it and I had to spend hours talking to the booking.com staff without any resolution offered.

Extremely cold room! I couldn’t sleep I was so cold and uncomfortable.
