The location was in the centre of Torgau and, although I arrived minutes after check in closed, Kristin couldn't have been more accommodating and polite, a genuinely very nice lady who not only gave me a great recommendation for a lovely little restaurant as well, she gave the hotel her personality which is something that I don't find in cities. This, as Kristen said, was the best that the GDR had to offer. Well, it was all I needed. Well located, a comfortable bed, hot shower and quiet. It is basic, but, I wasn't looking for anything else.

Room was large and windows opened to fresh air. Secure bike parking was available.

Reception staff were abrupt, restaurant was not open, and this was not noted on the website.
