SPA Complex Belchin Spring

The location is perfect, only an hour from Sofia and in a very quiet area. Overall - Very nice place and friendly staff. The restaurant had some delicious offers.

1) There were bugs in the bathroom! Even after we alerted the receptionist (they were not surprised and have had this before) and even after the housekeeping staff cleaned. There were bugs, yes less, but still bugs. You don’t want those during your vacation, especially when you’re with a baby. 2) My side of the bed was either broken or there was something wrong with the mattress. It was not comfortable at all. 3) The crib provided was desperately crying to be thrown away. It was dirty and ragged. 4) The outside pool area needs renovation and often cleanings. 5) Some of the food during the breakfast was not fresh, but wilted.

The pools (especially the outside warm pool win front of the view) are exceptional. Our room villa was very good, well equipped and clean. Breakfast was also excellent.

The only drawback of this hotel (may be a positive thing for some people) is its location: Belchin is a small village, 20 minutes drive from Sapareva Banya. except walking around enjoying the agricultural landscape there is nothing to do there. Perhaps since it’s off season now, all restaurants were closed. Another small issue was the stuff in the front desk, while being very nice and welcoming, they didn’t know to answer any question about visiting the area such as whether the 7 lakes lift is open or closed etc.

The hotel is well-maintained, great views to mountains, rooms are spacious, the beds are v comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, water is good temperature in the adult pool and it is a pleasure to swim. Breakfast was plentiful. It is good the restaurant is spacious and has playroom for kids. The staff were very kind and helpful, going extra mile to assist clients. We enjoyed our stay.

There are a few things that the hotel can improve to make people happier: 1. Restaurant - The salads were good, but the main courses, although nice, were greasy, kebapcheta swimming in sheep fat, steak covered in butter, etc. 2. Hotel - the bed lamps are unique. They are huge and you can't read if your partner is asleep, as they are too bright. I hit my head onto them several times. 3. Cleaning - room was clean, but the cleaners have not vacuumed. 4. Pool - the kid's pool is hot. Pool beds - there are only 8-9 normal beds, The beanbags are uncomfortable. 5. Gardens - nice landscaping is there, but the grounds will benefit from some trees.
