Good place Lots of parking

Told on breakfast it was included in our price. Surprise payment before leaving for breakfast we were told was included. Receptionist was just rude and unapologetic. Food for wedding was good but for dinner was poor. Very expensive for bad food.

Our suite had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the lounge was a quiet retreat at the end of busy days. The staff were outstanding, reception and bar staff particularly. We ate in the bar, which had a reasonable selection of food arriving promptly from the kitchens. Only a mile or so away from the park and ride to Chester and located in beautiful gardens, this is a great base for a city break or just to indulge and relax.

Just a little faded grandeur in evidence with older furnishings and small imperfections but this didn't affect our enjoyment of a great venue.

Rooms very old and dated need a good revamp It was very cold all day in the wedding room as the folding doors were kept open all day and night until we asked to close them

We have stayed here many times. There are a few spa hotels around Chester, but we always return to this one. The building is very unusual and it makes for interesting shapes in the bedrooms. Very few of them are the same. It's proximity to one of Chester's Park and Ride facilites makes it's location brilliant for getting into the city without worrying about parking. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The facilites are wonderful and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The bedrooms are really quiet and the beds are amongst the most comfortable (both mattress and pillows) we have experienced. We ate in the bar area from both the bar and restaurant menus and the food is very wide-ranging (all 5 of us had different dishes) and always of excellent quality. We did not take breakfast this time.

The cost of the food is slightly high for the area and the portion size. The views out of all three of our rooms were not desirable even though the rooms themselves were lovely. The shower controls is one were a bit challenging!
