Hotel Freihof

Property was very clean and close to grossly and train.

Sympathisches Kleinhotel: ohne Reception: man holt Schlüssel an der Bar ab. Einstellraum für Velo vorhanden. Nahe beim Bahnhof. nur Park dazwischen! Fenster gut schallisoliert. Kein Frühstück vor Ort, aber Kocher mit Kaffee/Tee.

Room was great. Breakfast was great.

We arrived at what seemed like a closed hotel. All doors were closed. We tried the speaker thing on the door but it was a foreign language and didnt have english as an option. We tried calling the host but no answer. We walked around angry and confused for 15 minutes. Suddenly the owner called back. Said she hadnt seen our booking but she would be right there. We waited another 10 minutes outside and then she came. She seemed very confused. Asked to see our booking. I showed her. She was still confused. Also she asked if we wanted breakfast and at what time. We said at 9am. She said ok. She said breakfast was just down the street at some restaurant. We got there at 8.50 am but the restaurant was closed. We called the host. She said it should open at 9 because thats when we said we wanted breakfast. And im just thinking.. yeah we wanted to eat at 9. How can we eat at 9 when the restaurant aint even open yet. Anyway, surely enough it opened at 9. We got in. Got a table. We were the only ones there. Waited 15-20 minutes for breakfast to come (most of the breakfast was great except the cold cuts and cucumber which were clearly not fresh. Dry as hell! And the hardboiled eggs were boiled so much they had turned blue). So we asked for breakfast at 9 but didnt eat until 9.15-9.20 ish. Overall just a very confusing and stressful experience.
