Hotel Merian

Unschlagbare Lage, weniger als zwei Minuten zum HBF! Das Personal ist einfach traumhaft! Eine Wucht! Sehr zuvorkommend, auf jede Frage eine kompetente Antwort!

For a start, the location is in a quiet area, but only a 5-minute walk to the Central Train Station (Cologne Hbf) and once you walk through the station, you arrive at the stunning Cathedral. This was a major positive for me as I was catching trains to other cities very early in the morning, and this proximity to the station was so useful. The hotel room, which includes a fridge, was spotlessly clean, especially the bathroom, and it was such a joy to return to the hotel, and my spotlessly cleaned room, after my day of sightseeing. The hotel is also near several restaurants as well. At check-in, you are given your key with a chip for the front door, which allows you to let yourself in at whatever time of the night. I would like to give a special mention to Turan, at reception, who was so charming, friendly and welcoming whenever you saw him and he went out of his way to offer assistance and have a chat, which all made one feel part of the Hotel Merian family. When in Cologne, booking Hotel Merian is a NO-BRAINER due to its brilliant location, cleanliness and value for money!

I would have given Hotel Merian a 10 rating were it not for the breakfast which was very bland and disappointing, without much variety or choice. I only had breakfast on the last day as I had lots of early train bookings on the other days and was spoilt for choice at the the several brilliant bakeries in the central train station. I would certainly not advise paying 14 euros for this breakfast!

Graag klanten die met de wagen komen, verwittigen dat ze een groene milieu-sticker nodig hebben in de stad Keulen. Een hele voormiddag verloren om deze plaatselijk aan te kopen.

El ingreso y la recepción dan la impresión de un hotel de no más de dos estrellas. Hay que subir cinco escalones desde la calle para ingresar: complicado con maletas grandes. En el ascensor no caben más de una persona con una maleta La ducha es tan chica que uno se golpea contra la mampara

Die Lage zum Hauptbahnhof und zum Dom/Zentrum waren top und bestens geeignet für weiter Aktivitäten. Das Zimmer war sauber und gut für Übernachtungen (Einzelzimmer). Tägliche Flasche Wasser im Zimmer.

Das passende Geschirr (Tasse oder ähnliches) zum Wasserkocher um sich einen einen Tee oder Kaffee zu machen.
