Hotel Alpen Residence

A great little hotel at the foot of the Zugspitze perfect for hiking, cycling and trips in the various cable cars. The staff was very friendly, the food was good, the pool and sauna facilities are perfect after a day of hiking and it is very very good value for money.

If you are looking for modern design and style this is probably not the place for you. Instead it's got the kind old Alpine charm that might appeal to older clientele.

Room was exceptional, the view and the space, along with the use of the space and the facilities, exceptional Breakfast was a feast, quality and variety along with the immaculate dinning facilities, we felt like princesses.

The room was great, very large and well appointed with a nice balcony and view. The staff were exceptional, especially at reception. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the restaurant was terrific for dinner, both the food and the service. An outstanding stay.

Great personal, very friendly, super saunas and pool, nice food and drinks. Super hiking area.

A bit too crowded, eg big diner and breakfast room with lots of people making it not very peaceful. Hotel is absolutely fine but imo too many people, and people who take a dozen free pieces of cake and leave nothing for others at tea time make it not a relaxing experience. Our room had no good views. Too expensive compared to other hotels.

The hotel was just what we needed. Comfortable, clean, and such friendly staff. Super kid friendly. Amazing view from our big family room. Location is wonderful! Felt like we were at a resort all week. Thanks for a lovely time — we’ll be back!
