Carmen de la Alcubilla del Caracol

This hotel was the absolute highlight of our trip to Spain. Surrounded by beautiful villas and within easy walking distance to the Alhambra and a quiet neighbourhood of good restaurants. We are in our 60’s and the steps to get down to the main centre were not a problem. We had a standard double room with a beautiful terrace overlooking the most amazing view of Granada. Breakfast was served on another lovely terrace overlooking the city. Our host Alejandro was always available for a chat or any helpful advice. We highly recommend.

Getting to the hotel by taxi tricky in the narrow backstreets. Leaving via Alejandro’s arranged taxi was much easier If you’re not fit or mobile, negotiating the hills and cobblestone streets may be an issue. We did a lot of steps and stairs!!!
