Breakfast is delicious, and had so many options for any taste. Friendly and careful staff, they always helped when I was asking for anything. Also, the view is indescribable and excellent!

- [ ] I was very excited about this place because it had 9 out of 10 score on Booking. But now I realize that this is 9 according to Dutch standards. The service is extremely poor, people are rude, they all look depressed and unhappy which creates a very bad vibe. They charge a full price to children starting 2 years old, even if they do not require a separate bed and only eat one yogurt at breakfast. All activities except for a swimming pull are at additional cost and they are not cheap (20EUR for one hour of indoor tennis court with very bad carpet surface / 24€ for 1h of bowling). One of the attractions was a 2h train tour around the city of Groenlo, which we booked because we were told it had an English translation, however when we arrived to the train, it turned out that the translating system was broken so it was all in Dutch only (we were offered a free bowling instead). The aqua park is actually a separate building so you have to dress up and walk outside to reach it, very inconvenient especially with kids. Food is mediocre and overpriced, which again is Dutch standard. although the breakfast was included in the price it was below average, little choice, not fresh croissants, bad coffee. When booking a dinner be careful as the kitchen closes at 8pm. Jacuzzi in the room is a nice addition but trying to use it proved to be almost impossible, besides 20 minutes after using it, it scared us and woke up our kids with very loud cleaning noises which lasted for a few minutes, and it wouldn’t stop no matter what button we pressed. On top of all this there is no one at reception, even during day hours, you have to ring a bell every time you have a question. In any case, if you are Dutch you will probably enjoy it.

The room was great, spacious had good facilities. The breakfast was good. sauna and swimming pool where also good. All was clean and satisfactory. The staff was helpful and friendly

Last year the visit was great so we booked without hesitation for this week again. The room is big, cosy, clean and the beds are perfect. But some other things were not the quality standard you expect!

You pay a lot for quality, but this time the quality was not what we expected! The spa was cold, the door of the room was broken, the payment was double booked, the staff was not really professional.
