Poeme Mamaia Retreat

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Mamaia, and the two week stay at Poeme Mamaia Retreat could not have been more perfect. We stayed in one of the "Luxury level" rooms which was surprisingly large, had a comfortable king size bed and an enormous shower with undisturbed west-facing view over the lake. Being able to watch the sunset while taking a shower is very romantic, trust me. The room was very clean, and we were free to decide when we wanted the room cleaned which was very nice. The breakfast was very good, and felt fresh every single day. Being a relatively small hotel, we were able to make a personal connection with both the owner and the staff which was very sweet and made us feel more welcome and tended to than we have ever experienced in any hotel before. The service was impeccable. The hotel has a deal with a beach bar so that we got sunbeds for free on weekdays. It is called Argo and is very relaxing with nice drinks. It is a 15 min. walk from Poeme, or 3-4 minutes with Bolt/taxi. We got a romantic dinner with just the two of us on the hotel roof. The food in the restaurant was very good. The chef is skilful, and both the meat, fish and vegetables were of high quality. The owner, Bogdan, is an amazing guy. He was dedicated to make our time in Mamaia as perfect as possible, with great success. He gave us a complementary bottle of wine from a local vineyard. He also took us on a free tour at the vineyard - this was an unforgettable experience! He also offered lots of other activities and excursions during our stay. We feel very lucky that we decided on Poeme Mamaia Retreat for our honeymoon. We could not be happier with our stay. Thank you!

The retreat is very stylish, comfortable and spacious. It has a superb lake view and is very quiet. The restaurant terrace, near the lake, is very romantic and beautiful.
