Tsaner Apartment and Rooms

Apartment Tsaner has a good location 10 min walk from the beach and from the center of the village Matala. It is quieter than the centre itself, which is full of restaurants and shops. The appartments are in a newly renovated two-storey house with many balconies overlooking the surrounding hills. We had a nicely decorated studio with a kitchenette and balcony, everything perfectly clean. There was also available a washing machine close to our studio. The host Ms. Kadiani is very friendly and hospitable, she prepared for us a bottle of local wine, fruits and snacks, printed our boarding passes, and as she traveled to Heraklion on the day of our departure, she drove us to the airport. Matala Beach is in a bay, so it is protected from big waves. Red Beach is not far, but one needs good shoes for walking on stones and rubble. Matala is a good starting point for visiting several important archaeological sites (Faistos, Agia Triada, Gortys), but one has to rent a car to get there. These places are worth of visiting, they are not full of tourists as Knossos.

El apartamento era nuevo, y teníamos lavadora compartida. Localización buena para ir andando a la playa muy bonita. Y la zona de los restaurantes.

La piscina que se anunciaba era de otro hotel. Se podía ir.. pero no era lo mismo. No se anunciaba en booking que no era del mismo sitio. Desde fuera el edificio no era lo anunciado, pues era un apartamento en la segunda planta sin ascensor, cuando las fotos eran al lado de la zona comunitaria que no correspondía.

The appartment was a great combination of good value, proximity to the beach, onsite parking and a really friendly host. We were there with four adults and two small children for three days and it was great for a brief stay like ours. It was spotlessly clean and the double bed and bunk beds were very comfortable. There was always plenty of hot water too.

The sofa bed is unfortunately a better sofa than bed and would need a topper to make it more comfortable for two adults to sleep in. It was the only thing we found needs attention.

Nous avions réservé cet appartement pour la machine à laver, que l’on pensait dans la chambre. Elle était en fait au fond du couloir. D’habitude les loueurs fond en sorte qu’il y ai toujours un peu de lessive, là non. Donc pas de lessive. On à vu personne donc pas terrible ce qu est rare en Crête
