Location was good, nice small village to wander. Tesco and Lidl are about 25 minutes walk away from the hotel. If you are visiting at the weekend then these will be the only places open in the afternoon! Lovely location to see the Low Tatras Mountains, but only if the weather is good 😊 Hotel was quiet as it was mainly empty.

Staff were indifferent, they really didn't care if we were there or not. The receptionist barely spoke to us, and we passed the desk several times, in and out. At least the breakfast staff did smile, and speak OK English, which is always a nice thing. From our room we could see into the kitchen, let's say good hygiene practices are few and far between. Breakfast is tiresome. You have to select from a limited (weird) menu, then wait while it is cooked. The vegetable omelette was cooked like a pancake, thin, rubbery, burnt on the bottom, but with raw egg on the top. It also had cucumber in it, what is that about? It comes with an awful lot of lambs lettuce for 8.00 in the morning! The breakfast time is also very short, 7am to 9am sharp, no lazy mornings in this hotel. Warm orange juice is grim, but the rolls/bread was tasty. Warm OJ but cold coffee, and only one cup on request. The pillows were terrible, they were so thin we had to fold them over three times just to be able to lay down on them. The beds were strange, much like sofa cushions, and not all that comfortable. The curtains were a joke. See through patterns blocked no light and they only covered half (yes, half) the window. Expect an early start to your day if you stay in summer. Weirdly, we were given two large bed side lamps, but there were no plug sockets, at all, that side of the room, so why waste the space? All the electrical sockets were dodgy and ill fitting, making them scary to use. The parking area is ugly, small, untidy and difficult to find, the hotel sign is very small. Sadly, we wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Monika was extremely helpful and friendly at check in. Her bright smile made me feel quite welcome. She answered all my questions and provided a room to secure my bicycle indoors. Breakfast was quite good in the hotel and the staff were efficient and pleasant.

The hotel has a great location in the middle of the town and very friendly and helpful staff.
