El cuarto y la ubicación todo le doy un 10 de 10 está muy limpio el trato muy amables nos recibieron muy bien muy tranquilo en las noches descansabas y la ubicación está muy bien cercas de la playa y del centro no usamos el coche para nada caminado estaba muy cercas todo

The staff was wonderful and attentive.

Toilet didn’t flush on arrival and the bathroom door lock broke. It was very hot in the bathroom and my daughter was stuck for about an hour. A locksmith was called but my husband took the door apart before he arrived. We also chose this place over other hotels because it offered breakfast but on arrival we were told they didn’t serve breakfast, the listing was outdated.

We were hesitant about which hotel in Bacalar to choose. We decided to go for the Maria Maria and we happened to hit the bullseye because the hotel had everything we were looking for. The location is just perfect- within a few minutes walking to the main square where all the life is at night yet far enough to be perfectly peaceful and quiet. Oh, and the access to the lake was literally one block away from the hotel. The streets are really quiet and a bit darkish at night but definitely safe, nothing to worry about walking back home. This location is much better than somewhere deeper inside the town because it gives you a 2-10mins walking distance to all attractions, the Central Park, and all the good eateries from Bacalar. About the room itself, it was very nice, cozy, well equipped, with a comfy bed and hot water in the shower without any shortage. Free drinking water refill station outside the room. There’s a laundry service some 20 meters away.

The shared kitchen could be better equipped, just a few basic utensils like plates, mugs, cutlery or a microwave would make a big plus.
