Blue Marina Boracay

I could not have been more impressed by Blue Marina. It's set up as an annexe to the more expensively priced Coast hotel, where you can use all of Coast's facilities. However not only is it a fraction of the price of its big sister, but it's so much better. The rooms are spacious, private, brilliantly appointed, clean, with fantastically comfortable beds. The hotel has thought of every tiny little thing you could wish for - with an abundance of thoughtful extras. The breakfast is enormous and cooked to order. And excellent. The staff are a delight. We honestly couldn't fault this hotel and everyone involved should be so proud for providing an incredible product and service - especially for the price.

It can be a little noisy if you get an idiot guest speaking loudly in reception - which there was. The staff are too polite to ask people to keep their voices down.

This review is about COAST Boracay as I did not stay at Blue Marina. I booked this hotel as it was advertised as quiet & small - I wanted some relaxation after a busy week at work. I was 'upgraded' to COAST Boracay without any notice - I was simply transferred from the airport to COAST Boracay without anyone informing me of the change. Apart from the great location (i.e. it was beach front), it wasn't really what I was looking for. I had to complain multiple times about noise given the proximity of rooms to one another and noisy families/doors slamming. COAST wasn't awful but it was a totally different vibe to Blue Marina so the change should have been communicated to me prior.

The location of the hotel is in Station 2. Very close to Boracay beach. The comfort and the cleaning of the hotel is very good. They also provide transfer from airport to their hotel which was awesome.

The breakfast was not superior. You select some options for the next day from the menu. The egg selected choices were coming cold and it was cooked way before.
