Elite Hotel

This is a comfortable hotel in a pleasant area close to the main street (Strada Stefan cel Mare) and to Strada Independentei, a lively area that links a number of family-friendly parks and walking routes. The hotel is a roughly 20-minute walk from the inter-city bus station, or you could take a city bus along Stefan cel Mare. To save money I booked a windowless room. Actually the room had a window, which overlooked an indoor stairwell. But solid curtains maintained privacy and the place was quiet.

The hotel staff are fine but beware of the Fourchette supermarket on the ground floor. Some of the Fourchette staff get extremely angry if you speak a bit of Romanian instead of Russian.
