The Cache Hotel and Lodgings

Modern room with a large tv. Clean, comfortable and although it's in the middle of town, very quiet for most of my stay. The bed was superb and the addition of a table and chairs useful. The décor throughout was excellent. Soundproofing was great - except note that you are above a pub, so there is a little noise when they close as customers leave, but not excessive or too late. There's a 20% discount if you eat in the pub downstairs.

A bottle of water in the fridge would have been nice.

The property is located over a bar and outdoor terrace that is open until 2:00 am. The bar is referred to as a bistro. We weren’t aware of the location when we booked. You have to walk into the lobby of the bistro up some very dirty carpeted stairs. The room was small but clean enough but the noise from the music in the bar was unbearable. We left the property and found accommodation elsewhere at 10:00 pm. We were very lucky to find an available room elsewhere. I would not recommend this property unless you are in your 20’s and want to party all night.

The room wasn’t clean. There were some stains on the bedsheets and on pillows, and lots of dust under the bed. In addition one set of bedsheets was missing. When the cleanliness issue was pointed out to our host Shauna, she rushed into our room and threw away the new bedsheets on the bed. She was very unfriendly, confrontational and seemed extremely annoyed. The room had a weird smell and the hallway, covered with an old and not maintained carpet, smelled really bad. We would never go back.

The bed was comfortable and room was ok. Central location if you want to be in the middle of the action not so good if you want to rest

I should have paid more attention to other reviews..entrance and stairs dirty and smelly. I didn't expect pub downstairs to be quite so noisy.
