USLocation was perfect and price for our own room made it perfect.
Check-in after hours was difficult despite having a reservation. The security guard was the only staff on-site but he did magic to ensure we were able to get in after a long drive plus flat tire that delayed us.

Unfortunately the outdoor space was being renovated when we stayed so it looked nothing like the photos. We were looking forward to relaxing in the garden but all the hammocks have been removed and not any comfortable seating. Staff were not helpful, the man on the desk didn’t acknowledge our arrival for a good 5 minutes while we sat to check in - very different to some reviews we have seen regarding staff here. Loud at night due to very thin walls and gaps in doors.

Construction happening all over the property during stay. Ac broke and leaked all over our bed and luggage. Manager did not care and did not handle it professionally. Cared more about trying to charge us for a dirty towel (that they didn’t even try to clean themselves before though to charge us 25$ for it and i was easily able to cleaned in the sink) than they cared about our AC soaking my suitcase and clothes and bed and us having to move rooms which almost made us late to and miss one of our paid for activities. Very unprofessional and uncaring manager and owner trying to scam us out of 25$ over a towel that was easily cleaned when I almost had 250$+ worth of clothing ruined if I hadn’t dried it out myself. Least Pura Vida vibe and experience we had in the 2 weeks we have been in CR. The only negative experience we have had our entire trip.
CRUSDid not have breakfast at the location. The location was great, in the heart of the city and close to all the restaurants and activities. There are many local shops and businessess to visit. Overall the location is 10/10.
