Great food and friendly staffs.

The place is quite old.

The room was relatively spacious and the layout worked well for two people sharing a twin room. There was a cupboard with space for belongings to put things away. Slippers and dressing gowns were provided. The curtains blocked out the sunlight effectively from the large windows across one side of the room when drawn. The breakfast was very good with a nice array of different options. It was enjoyable to have a wide selection with the cold buffet and some hot food options, along with the continental breakfast ones. I liked how they had infused things into the water. I think it was rosemary or a similar herb some mornings - this was new to me and was very nice. It had lemon in the other days. I also very much liked the style of egg where it is baked in the pan. I had not had this before. On the weekend they had a waffle iron with fresh mix to make your own waffles with. It was delicious with the light whipped cream type mix, some of the rhubarb compote and honey.

Everything about our experience during the duration of our stay was positive and went totally smoothly. There was one issue upon check in whereby my mother had booked the room and expected the room the have a sofa in as well as a table and the two beds but there wasn't a sofa in the room we had been allocated. Only a bench along the window and one chair at the desk to sit on. She spoke to reception and asked for another chair to be brought to the two person room, as there were two of us sharing. When we were dropped off at the hotel having been locked up from the airport this had been done for us.
