Baltistan Fort Skardu Resort

I loved the view from my windows and sitting outside in the fresh air was an experience in itself .... Clean rooms and fresh wash rooms were the main features and would be one of the first reason to stay once again at Baltistan Fort, Skardu. The staff is also very hospitable and good people indeed.

The owner is very courteous and polite. I had made 50% payment to the owner as he said that's required to confirm the booking and after many discussions he does state that he will refund the whole amount but it will take time as he needs time to sort his account for audits.

The rooms had a smell- the owner later explained that he had fumigated them. The rooms were dirty, small, unlit_ we had booked the executive room with a view but were given a small room with no windows, no fan or amenities. The rooms look nothing like the pictures. I was travelling with my mother and sister and the whole ordeal of going to the place and seeing how the rooms looked nothing like the pictures and leaving to find another place in that hour ( we had already travelled for 6 hours from hunza to skardu) was a mental and a financial burden. The owner was not there himself so I messaged him immediately to tell him that we were uncomfortable here and couldn't stay there. The owner is in touch with me but there is no acceptance by him that the pictures are not real, he sent me names of people who had written a bad review of him on Google (the support staff told us that there was a family coming to stay there after us) stating that he is filing a case against them with FIA. I called him out for his intimidation technique because I had given him very similar feedback on his rooms on messaging. I tried cancelling my booking through booking.com but I was unable to. This is the first time that I've experienced this that the pictures shown on booking.com were fake/photoshopped and the reality was far far different.

The view is one the better ones in skardu.the internet speed was excellent

Its a bit far from main road but good for people who like quietness

The host was very responsive and friendly. Location is good with wide angle view from a height.

Amazing, out of the world, panoramic views. The Owner, Rashid Sami is great company and strives to take care of his guests. Quite a charming hotel/resort. Access of the hotel is through a dirt road, which just adds to the charm of the place.

Slight smell in one of the washrooms. It also did not lock properly.
