Absolutely nothing

All the facilities exceeded our expectations. The owner was hands on and had great dining suggestions. The property had a generator for loadshedding. Rooms clean, bathrooms immaculate.

I can't fault the place. It met all expectations, photos on the booking site were an understatement to what we found.

The unit was excellent and had everything you could need. Bedrooms very comfortable and loved the extra touches of fresh eggs, milk and biscuits to enjoy as a welcome touch. Fishing was also excellent and the farm is so well maintained - excellent views and location.

Nothing

Arriving on the farm was an amazing experience, with such a pure and refreshing energy. We stayed in the cabin for 3 nights and left wishing we could extend our stay! The cabin is located adjacent to the dam with a little jetty and a kayak (paddles and life jackets too) for our use. On the deck, there are 3 different seating options available depending on your use: camping chairs and table, deck chairs, and a bench, which were all so comfortable and definitely well-thought-out. Also included is a skottel braai (outside) and a single plate gas stand with a kettle (inside). There is also a wood/coal braai area, with complimentary wood being replaced daily. The lounge area has the most comfy couch and blanket and a TV stand filled with amazing DVDs, books, games, and magazines. The cabin is fully fitted with everything you would need for your stay in terms of kitchen utensils and dish soap etc. The two plate induction stove is incredibly easy to use and warms up really fast. There is a dining table with two chairs and had the cutest little gift basket. The bathroom is fitted with a heated towel rail (incl. towels) and has shampoo and shower gel dispensers as well. There is an oil heater and two electric blankets in the bedroom with another woolen blanket as well, making our stay in Winter so cosy and comfortable. Everything was impeccably neat and clean too. Ash is an incredible host, paying attention to detail and truly values his guests. The facilities and activities available on the farm are incredible. And the views, wow, they are superb. From the cabin itself (sunrise and sunset from the jetty, watching the animals go out each morning and come in for the night) and on the hike around the dam are just so beautiful. Our stay was definitely relaxing and rejuvenating, and we already can't wait to stay again!

What a stunning venue. The cottage is cosy and very well equipped. Even down to heated Towel rails, a very nice touch. Highly recommended for a breakaway for you and your better half.

WE absolutely loved our stay, would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for somewhere to go and just relax. the cottage is equipped with everything that you need and a bit more, it was nice/ clean and comfortable. will be back again :)
